From the moment one enters the retreat, they are instructed to turn to the shore and take a deep breath. Unlike the “stimulus overload” often experienced at professional conferences, AmaZING! Leadership Retreats promises a rich experience filled with instruction, processing time, self-reflective strategies and a full schedule of two and a half days of training.

To achieve these goals, the following is required of all participants:


1. The signing of the “AmaZing! Leadership Retreat Contract”
2. Payment in full by the required deadlines. PO numbers can be used to HOLD a reservation only. Confirmation of registration is not issued until payment in full is received. If payment is not received by the designated date, the wait list will be activated.
3. Notification of flight schedules no less than two weeks prior to arrival. Upon registration, personal contact with the Program Director is recommended to discuss travel arrangements.
4. Comfortable New England weather appropriate attire. No ties are allowed. No painful shoes. Flip flops work.

AmaZing! Leadership Retreat Contract:

As a participant in the AmaZING! Leadership Retreat held on _, I agree to learn how to be a more effective professional in my field and a human being more dedicated to serving the greater social good.


I agree to participate in all training sessions as scheduled in a manner that meets my personal and professional needs.


I agree to literally leave my watch at the door upon registering, knowing it will be returned upon check out.


I agree to respect the privacy of the other participants.


I agree to honor the confidentiality of a professional training environment by not repeating that which is asked to not be repeated outside of the institute.


I agree to leave all electronic devices (i.e. laptops, blueberries, and cell phones) off while on the premises, notifying others (via phone’s message service, for instance) of the one central number at the institute where I can be reached in an emergency.


I agree to protect the belongings of the host location, as well as, to keep its specific location private – except for emergency contact purposes.


I agree to do the assigned reading issued upon check in – or negotiate with the director for a different reading. (Note: Assigned readings are books or resources specific to the retreat’s focus.)


I agree to take a stroll, bike around town, sit by the ocean or engage in some pleasurable form of outdoor recreation during my stay.
